Job Summary Ready to lead projects that move people and shape communities? TYLin is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to deliver high‑quality Rail + Transit design projects or programs, collaborating with respected transportation agencies in the Mid‑Atlantic region and beyond.
Based in the Washington, DC region, you will manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of transportation infrastructure projects—from urban transit and commuter rail to major roadway and highway improvements—and serve as the primary client contact for agencies including WMATA, BART, Caltrans, Caltrain, MTA, Metra, CTA, SEPTA, Amtrak, and other regional and national partners.
You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor emerging engineers, and play a visible role in client engagement, business development, and pursuit strategy across the Mid‑Atlantic.
Responsibilities & Qualifications What You’ll Do
Lead and deliver complex Rail + Transit and Roads + Highways design projects, from planning to final design.
Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring exceptional service, quality, and communication.
Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Partner with senior leadership nationwide to pursue new opportunities and strengthen TYLin’s market presence.
Represent TYLin at client meetings and industry events throughout the DC, Maryland, Virginia, and broader Mid‑Atlantic region.
Contribute to winning pursuits through proposal development, strategy, and presentations at both regional and national levels.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license required or attainable within one year.
10+ years of experience delivering engineering design projects for major transportation and transit clients.
Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee project delivery for public‑sector agencies.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative and mentoring mindset.
Experience balancing technical excellence, client engagement, and business development responsibilities.
