The Role Final Draft is seeking a Director of Sales to lead sales operations, drive revenue growth, and strengthen partnerships across individual, enterprise/studio, and educational markets. This role is responsible for representing the industry-standard screenwriting software trusted by leading voices in film and television. You’ll help expand Final Draft’s reach across studios, schools, and creative communities by connecting with the people and organizations shaping the next generation of storytelling.
Alongside driving growth, you’ll bring structure and precision to our sales operations by building a clear pipeline, strong processes, and accurate reporting and forecasting.
This is a hands‑on leadership position that requires both strategic vision and day‑to‑day operational execution. The Director of Sales will report to the President of Final Draft.
What You’ll Do
Manage Final Draft sales and relationships for our studio and educational accounts
Build, manage, and optimize the end‑to‑end sales pipeline with clear metrics and accountability
Implement best practices for forecasting, reporting, and lead management using HubSpot Sales Hub
Partner with Marketing and Product teams to align campaigns, nurture leads, and convert opportunities
Lead sales efforts in both studio and educational channels, expanding reach to schools, universities, and film programs
Strengthen relationships with film and television industry organizations to drive brand presence
Analyze sales data to identify trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities
Develop playbooks and processes to improve forecasting accuracy and pipeline visibility
Represent Final Draft at key industry and educational events
Leverage client feedback to help shape features in future versions of Final Draft
What we’re looking for from you:
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals in software or entertainment sectors
Deep understanding of the screenwriting, film production, and creative tools ecosystem
Advanced proficiency with HubSpot Sales Hub, including reporting, automation, dashboards, and pipeline management
Exceptional forecasting and reporting skills with strong attention to data accuracy
Process‑oriented, organized, and proactive in building structure where it doesn’t exist
Experienced managing EDU partnerships and enterprise/studio relationships
Collaborative communicator who thrives in a fast‑moving, creative environment

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. The compensation range for this position is: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year.
