Cytogenetics Technologist I/II

Responsibilities
Perform cytogenetic analysis to assess chromosomal states using chromosome analysis, FISH, and microarray techniques.
Initiate and maintain cell cultures with sterile techniques and manage all aspects of specimen processing.
Operate automated cell scanners and analyze metaphases using brightfield microscopy.
Record raw data accurately and prepare comprehensive final reports.
Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, OSHA, CLIA, and Joint Commission Regulations for high‑complexity testing.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Proficiency in chromosome analysis, karyotyping, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
Strong experience in molecular biology and cytogenetic testing.
ASCP certification is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or Clinical Lab Science.
Experience handling high‑complexity testing and specimen processing.
Familiarity with CLIA and other regulatory standards.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $27.40 - $52.40/hr.
