Overview:
A leading organization in the Maritime industry is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee application and IT infrastructure projects. This role will manage resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring successful delivery of new applications, system upgrades, and infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and complex IT projects, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end project delivery for application and IT infrastructure initiatives.
Plan, execute, and track project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure project success.
Lead project kickoff, status meetings, risk management, and issue resolution.
Manage resource assignments and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Oversee the implementation of new applications, system upgrades, and IT infrastructure projects.
Ensure documentation, reporting, and project deliverables meet organizational standards.
Mentor and guide junior project managers or project coordinators as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years of experience managing IT projects, including application and infrastructure initiatives.
Proven ability to manage resources, timelines, and budgets effectively.
Demonstrated experience delivering new applications and IT infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar).
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Experience in the Maritime or shipping industry.
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
Knowledge of ITIL or IT service management practices.
