Position: School Psychologist - 2025-2026 School Year
Position Summary Ridgewood Public Schools seeks a School Psychologist for the elementary level for the 2025-2026 school year. This individual must demonstrate the necessary specialized skills and personal characteristics to carry out the philosophy and instructional program of the Ridgewood Public Schools, as well as the state mandates related to students with disabilities. As a School Psychologist, this individual will conduct assessments and assist in establishing educational and/or management plans for the atypical learner in conjunction with other team members and staff. The selected candidate will develop and monitor the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) of the students they case manage.
Qualifications
New Jersey School Psychologist Certification
Experience as a School Psychologist, preferably on the secondary level.
Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, parents and administrators.
Experience consulting with teachers on the learning, behavioral and emotional needs of classified students.
Ability to provide counseling as a related service as per student IEPs.
Ability to maintain a high level of competency and keep abreast of developments in content, methodology and assessment.
Maintain harmonious relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
Start Date December, 2025
Working Conditions Full-time, permanent position, medical benefits and pension. Salary range is $68,151-$127,971, commensurate with education and experience as per negotiated contract.
