Senior Controls Engineer

to lead design, implementation, and support of cutting‑edge material handling systems across North America. In this role, you’ll be hands‑on with PLC/HMI programming, electrical design, and commissioning while guiding junior engineers and collaborating with clients to deliver high‑performing solutions.

What You Will Do

Lead cross‑disciplinary teams to develop automation solutions for material handling projects.

Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs (Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, Schneider, etc.).

Produce electrical schematics and documentation using AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical.

Provide technical leadership during site evaluations, installations, commissioning, and acceptance testing.

Mentor engineers, support project management, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.

Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D teams to maintain high standards of quality and innovation.

Perform retrofits and modernizations for electrical and controls systems, including ASRS and conveyor systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required).

7+ years of experience in Controls Engineering (material handling industry preferred).

Proficiency in PLC/HMI platforms: Allen‑Bradley Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View; familiarity with Siemens, Beckhoff, Modicon, Lenze, and CodeSys a plus.
