Senior Engineer, Global Facilities - Gas – Micron Technology
As a Global Facilities Gas Systems Engineer at Micron Technology, you will lead the design, planning, and support of high‑purity gas systems across Micron’s global manufacturing network. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant infrastructure to support semiconductor manufacturing while collaborating across design, construction, operations, and maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain cryogenic bulk and specialty gas systems for safety and efficiency. Develop and manage specifications, standards, and record drawings. Ensure designs comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory codes. Assist with planning for future needs and analyze potential scenarios at global sites. Review and advise on infrastructure modifications and system impacts. Provide engineering oversight during design, construction, and startup phases. Lead technical problem‑solving and risk mitigation efforts. Maintain and improve corporate facility standards and protocols. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in high‑purity bulk and/or specialty gas systems. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments. Familiarity with FMEA and HAZOP risk analysis methodologies. Technical leadership in vendor qualification and procurement support.
