Job Responsibilities
Program CNC mills using Camworks.
Operate and program one or more specialty machines: CNC Grinder, CNC High Speed Mill, or Wire EDM.
Train other machinists on proper use of shop machine tools and inspection equipment.
Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, etc., selecting proper feeds and speeds.
Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions to make parts.
Read and interpret complex prints, designs, and G & M code.
Make fixtures for machines.
Perform hand operations such as filing, fitting, tapping, etc.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in a machine shop.
Experience with 3‑axis milling.
5+ years of CNC mill programming experience.
Experience with CAMWorks and SolidWorks or equivalent CAM/CAD software.
Experience with 5‑axis milling preferred.
EDM experience preferred.
Knowledge of precision measuring devices.
Ability to work to close tolerances.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
Advanced shop mathematics skills.
Broad knowledge of machine shop practices.
Proven mechanical aptitude.
