Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (United States Air Force Academy)
Type: Exempt
Compensation: $77,969.00 – 92,950.00 per year (Tessera’s compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)
Work Schedule: Full‑time, Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs)

As a Programmer Analyst I, you’ll… Under the direction of the Application Development Manager, the Programmer Analyst I will support development, management, user support, training, and maintenance of Tessera Business Systems for multiple divisions at Tessera. These currently utilize the IBM Maximo solution but could change as the needs of Tessera evolve.
Responsibilities
Learn the complex intricacies of the company’s business systems software package as both a developer and user.
Perform system maintenance, module implementation, application customization, process discovery, data manipulation, user support and training, SQL queries, script writing, and report creation.
Apply application development, maintenance, customization, and database management experience and expertise to create solutions within the Business Systems software package using built‑in and external tools (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, BIRT, Power BI) and utilities to enhance product usability and exploit the product’s full capabilities.
Own all stages of software module implementation, including research and development, needs assessment, use case scenarios, systems analysis, planning, project management, testing, and execution. Existing data manipulation, data import, and export and field mapping are necessary processes.
Leverage innovation, data management, and a comprehensive understanding of the Business Systems software package to obtain maximum value, produce business processes that drive growth and operational efficiencies, and improve and enhance the user experience.
Interact with software vendors, technical consultants, site managers, and executives requiring crucial collaboration, communication, and relationship management skills.
Develop, implement, and present training curriculums tailored to specific software modules, product functions, and user needs.
Write code using programming languages and tools such as SQL, Java, JavaScript, Python, and XML.
Understand the Software as a Service (SaaS) model and be able to work in that environment, especially with respect to change, version, and upgrade cycles with little impact to overall support of the tool.
Design, develop, test, and deploy Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using UiPath or similar software to streamline business processes.
Maintain uncompromising ethics, as this individual will have access to company sensitive data at all times.
Follow established quality methods and procedures, ensuring that products, applications, and systems adhere to quality standards and meet customer requirements.
Support new site installations, including prolonged travel as required (up to a month per project).
Work under pressure in a fast‑paced, multi‑priority environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Display excellent customer service, understanding and acting upon the diverse needs of customers.
Work both independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is required.
3+ years of increasingly responsible experience with the use and development of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is required.
Combination of education and previous experience will be considered.
Must have strong communication and Business Systems skills.
Preferred: Ability to manage workflow and processes in a fast‑paced environment.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
