This position manages the project controls support team for the design and construction of various projects in power generation and delivery nationwide. A successful candidate will bring project controls expertise to a fast-growing team of experts in power generation and delivery.

What You’ll Be Working On:

Manage a team that develops, updates, and maintains project schedules with project manager and team input in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project

Perform reviews of baseline and periodic schedule updates for compliance with specifications and overall reasonableness

Perform cost analysis, spend tracking, and earned value reporting to monitor project costs and revenue and forecast final financial outcomes

Work with project management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information

Support integration of Company systems to track, monitor and control costs; monitor the job cost report against key performance indicators (KPIs)

Perform additional assignments per management’s direction

Be able to communicate effectively via phone and in writing with all parties involved in selected assignments including clients, project staff, subcontractors and owners

Ensure that assignments are executed with technical proficiency, accuracy, and professionalism

Proven written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, preferred

Proper attitude and work ethic are essential, must be willing to work extra time as needed to accomplish objectives

Travel as required to fulfill position and project responsibilities

Make employee safety a priority both in-house and on-site, in accordance with corporate policy

Participate in Project Controls as both team leader and contributor.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

Bachelor’s or Associates degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

10 years engineering and/or construction project control experience preferred

Proven written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, preferred

Proper attitude and work ethic are essential, must be willing to work extra time as needed to accomplish objectives

Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel required. Knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe) required

Candidates should be familiar with interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, estimating and take-offs, and as-built drawings

Work in a consultant setting. Track your time and monitor activities against a budget

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast moving environment. Must be able to work somewhat independently and ask questions and seek out information if needed to complete assigned tasks

Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities and have the ability to perform exceptionally under high stress conditions

Compensation: Compensation will be paid in the range of $149,000 - $180,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
