Summary of Job Duties
We are seeking a Director of Outpatient Programs to lead and oversee the operational and clinical functions of adult outpatient programs within the Behavioral Health Service Line. This role encompasses a range of clinics, including the Northwest Arkansas Clinic, Women's Mental Health Clinic, Substance Use Treatment Clinic, Walker Family Clinic, First Episode Psychosis Clinics, AR Connect Now Program, and the Employee Assistance Program. The Director ensures that all outpatient programs operate efficiently, in compliance with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and budgetary constraints, while maintaining high standards of clinical care and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership, supervise clinical program managers, and evaluate performance against established metrics. Ensure staff meet productivity and documentation standards while fostering a collaborative environment for patients and staff.
Lead ongoing clinical operations to facilitate patient access, productivity, safety, and patient- and family-centered care. Advise clinic program managers and medical directors on patient access, clinic operations, clinic appearance, and compliance.
Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for outpatient programs. Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase patient and employee satisfaction. Act as a liaison for outpatient patient- and family-centered care initiatives within the service line.
Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; maintain accreditations and licensures for outpatient programs.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain systems to manage health, provider, financial, and clinical data and documents.
Gather, analyze, and disseminate data related to clinic operations to internal stakeholders.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or Nursing
Five (5) years of healthcare experience, including three (3) years of management and operations experience
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed by Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Experience with EPIC development
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Proven leadership experience in managing outpatient mental health programs
Strong understanding of compliance, accreditation standards, and budget management
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships
Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and program evaluation
Commitment to advancing mental health care and promoting inclusion in service delivery
Additional Information
Key Responsibilities
Develops and communicates the program’s strategic initiatives, manages program expansion, and oversees daily program operations, including developing clinic budgets, providing financial oversight of outpatient programs, and supervising and mentoring assigned staff
Ensures effective clinical operations to facilitate patient access, productivity, patient safety, and patient- and family-centered care by communicating outpatient operational needs and concerns to service line leadership. Advises clinic program managers and medical directors in areas related to patient access, clinic operations, clinic appearance and compliance
Develops and implements strategies, policies, and procedures for outpatient programs. Participates in continuous improvement projects to increase patient and employee satisfaction. Acts as a liaison for outpatient patient- and family-centered care initiatives for the service line within the integrated clinical enterprise
Ensures ongoing compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local agencies, laws, and mandates. Maintains appropriate accreditations and licensures for the outpatient programs
In collaboration with leadership and program managers, develops and maintains various systems to manage health, provider, financial, and clinical data and documents
Gathers, analyzes, and disseminates data related to the operations of the clinic to various internal stakeholders
May perform additional duties that may be assigned to this position
