Role Summary: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in data-intensive backend systems. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and data infrastructure—focused on building and scaling the pipelines, APIs, and platforms that make sense of billions of data points. You’ll design systems that process and structure raw content at scale, collaborate with engineers and data scientists, and help shape internal tools powering high-impact intelligence products. Responsibilities
Design and implement large-scale data ingestion and transformation pipelines in Python. Build and maintain APIs and backend services that structure and serve data efficiently. Architect reliable, distributed systems optimized for scalability and performance. Develop solutions leveraging AWS (S3, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, EKS) and Elasticsearch. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to define schemas and data models. Author technical design documents and participate in code reviews. Mentor peers and drive engineering best practices across the team. Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience as a software or data engineer. Strong proficiency in Python for backend and data processing. Experience designing systems that handle large-scale or unstructured data. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with Elasticsearch, graph databases (Memgraph, Neo4j), or similar technologies. Solid understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and distributed systems. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Preferred
Prior experience in data platform, cybersecurity, or intelligence-oriented environments. Familiarity with Flyte, Airflow, Kafka, or RabbitMQ. Experience implementing data orchestration or workflow automation. Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, or containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes). Competitive compensation and equity options.
