Key Responsibilities
Lead project teams and provide oversight for the design, development, and delivery of civil engineering projects Manage project schedules, budgets, construction documents, and contracts Oversee field coordination and construction support activities Prepare contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and internal staff Provide mentorship and direction to engineering and design staff Perform conceptual/preliminary design studies considering zoning, land use, infrastructure, and regulatory factors Review constructability and provide construction support services Ensure compliance with applicable jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months) 8–12 years of relevant civil engineering experience (12–15 years equivalent work experience acceptable) Minimum of 3 years of management experience supervising technical staff Proven project management skills and ability to lead complex engineering projects Strong communication, leadership, and decision‑making abilities Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D required In‑depth knowledge of California codes, standards, and procedures preferred Additional Skills
Strong working knowledge of engineering principles and project management practices Ability to direct, plan, and guide design teams with clear goals and accountability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to negotiate, manage client relationships, and represent the firm professionally Proficiency in CAD for preparing exhibits, studies, and final plans Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
