Role Overview Pocket FM is seeking a technically adept Ad Tech & Operations Lead to join our growing ads team. This remote role blends technical expertise in audio, video, and display ad execution with operational acumen in demand partnership management. You will ensure seamless execution of demand partner activations, measurement integrations, and programmatic & direct IO management.

Compensation Base pay range: $130,000.00 / yr – $170,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

Refine the ad operations vision, strategy, technology, and execution for Pocket FM’s data‑driven ad capabilities across display, video, and audio.

Evaluate current ad tech stack for optimal performance across oRTB, PreBid, DSPs, and tag partners to ensure efficient supply paths for maximum revenue.

Serve as the primary operational point of contact for key demand partnerships, delivering top‑notch customer service and relationship management.

Define scalable, privacy‑forward targeting products that leverage first‑party behavioral data, contextual signals, and demographics.

Evaluate and integrate third‑party demand sources, targeting, and measurement partners to enhance campaign performance.

Manage and maintain demand integrations, ensuring seamless delivery and performance across video, audio, and display inventory.

Lead regular check‑ins and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with demand and agency partners to align on performance, opportunities, and strategy.

Support the partnerships team in client‑facing discussions, highlighting technical capabilities and setup processes for integrations.

Perform regular audits of demand connections, ensuring integration health and identifying any discrepancies or performance gaps across inventory.

Act as a liaison between demand and internal teams to ensure alignment on goals, inventory packaging, and monetization strategies.

Monitor and interpret performance metrics, surfacing actionable insights to maximize yield and fill across supply.

Stay current on industry trends, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and competitive offerings in digital video, audio, programmatic advertising, and identity solutions.

Requirements

10+ years of ad tech + operations management experience, with a strong focus on advertising technology, data products, and programmatic platforms.

Deep understanding of digital advertising, audience targeting, identity resolution, and data management platforms (DMPs/CDPs).

Proven ability to work with product, engineering, and data science teams to develop machine‑learning powered or algorithmic targeting solutions.

Experience with third‑party data providers, measurement platforms, and identity graphs.

Understanding of Ad Serving Ecosystems (DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, Exchanges, Networks, ad servers, etc.).

Proficient in GAM, Amazon Marketplace, AdMob, Unity LevelPlay, and Prebid.

Knowledge of Video Ad Serving Protocols and Standards.

Experience diagnosing and working through issues with third‑party technology vendors including DSPs, DMPs, and ad servers.

Experience in audio advertising, streaming media, or podcasting environments.
