Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer (T01/T02) for our Aeronautics Systems sector in El Segundo, CA. The role is part of the Production Engineering & Operations (PE&O) organization.

4/10B 1st or 2nd shift (10 hr/day Tuesday – Friday)

Roles And Responsibilities
Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Basic Qualifications for a Associate Manufacturing Engineer (T01)
Be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by September 2025.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) degree.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Basic Qualifications for a Manufacturing Engineer (T02)
Be completing or have completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution by September 2025 or be completing a Bachelor’s degree by September 2025 and have 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) degree.
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications for both positions
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
Previous internship/co‑op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Fabrication, assembly, GD&T, process improvement, CAD modeling, machining experience.
Experience working hands‑on in a production assembly line environment.
Project management experience.
Active U.S. Government security clearance.
Pay Range
Associate Manufacturing Engineer: $67,400 – $101,000
Manufacturing Engineer: $81,300 – $121,900
