Senior Estimator – Concrete / Tilt-Wall / Industrial Construction

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team in Houston. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in concrete and tilt‑wall construction, with a solid background in industrial and education projects. This role is responsible for managing all estimating activities — from conceptual budgeting to hard bid — while supporting strategy, accuracy, and profitability across multiple project types.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for concrete, tilt‑wall, industrial, and education sector projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and equipment
Lead bid strategy sessions, subcontractor outreach, and bid evaluations
Review subcontractor proposals for completeness, scope coverage, and competitiveness
Collaborate with operations, project management, and preconstruction teams to ensure constructability and accuracy
Provide conceptual estimates and cost models during early design and preconstruction phases
Support value engineering efforts and provide cost‑effective design alternatives
Mentor junior estimators and support team development within the estimating department
Qualifications
10+ years of estimating experience in concrete, tilt‑wall, or structural construction
Proven track record with industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and educational facility projects
Strong understanding of means, methods, and sequencing for tilt‑wall and structural concrete systems
Proficiency in HeavyBid, WinEst, On‑Screen Takeoff, or similar estimating software
Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication and presentation skills for internal and client‑facing coordination
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
