The Opportunity

Please note : This role can be hired as an Analyst II or Senior Analyst, dependent upon experience and evaluation of skills during the interview process.

Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the Treasury - Capital Market Funding Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of secured and unsecured capital markets transactions, market intelligence, bank and rating agency relationships, and asset and liability management. This role is also responsible for routine activities, within aligned function, using existing procedures and policy. Senior Analysts are expected to perform day to day structured work assignments while requiring only moderate instruction and guidance from more senior level roles.

The Work Itself

Support the preparation, structuring and execution of secured and unsecured corporate debt issuance, including oversight of investor presentations and rating agency materials as well as the ongoing monitoring of secondary ABS and unsecured debt complex performance

Manage analyst workflow and deliverables related to ABS and corporate debt issuances, as well as monitor peer performance and market conditions

Support Ally's rating agency relationships, including analysis of credit ratings risks and opportunities and preparation of rating agency presentation materials

Establish strong relationships with relevant market participants including traders, bankers, corporate debt, and equity capital markets desks, including minority-owned brokerage firms, as well as external 3rd parties, including legal, trustees and auditors

Responsibility for accurately completing various regulatory and internal reports, analyses, and information requests

Support Ally’s overall cash, liquidity and funding initiatives, including forecasting and analysis

Liability management modeling and inter-company financial impact analysis, as well as supporting the execution of liability management activities

Monitor Ally’s equity securities and support the structuring, execution and ongoing monitoring of Ally's share repurchase program

Contribute to ad hoc analytical and strategic projects as necessary both within and beyond your primary function

Work collaboratively with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Legal, Accounting and other partners to ensure enterprise objectives are met

The Skills You Bring

For the Senior Analyst, 3 or more years previous work experience in Finance, Treasury, Capital Markets or related field required

For the Analyst II, 1 or more years previous work experience in Finance, Treasury, Capital Markets or related field required

Bachelor's degree required; preferably in accounting, finance, or related.

Knowledge of Fixed Income Markets concepts preferred

Knowledge of Bank Funding concepts and processes preferred

Experience with cash flow modeling using Excel, preferred

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Proven track record of driving for results with minimal ongoing direction

Well-developed project management, analytical, and judgment skills

SQL programming skills preferred

Maintains strong attention to detail
