Established in 1972, Mount Vernon School serves over 1,250 students in Preschool through Grade 12 on our 40-acre Atlanta campus. The Team The Brand Team functions as an internal marketing, creative, and communications agency that serves the entire Mount Vernon Organization, including the School, MVSO, the Virtual Global Campus, and Ventures, the educational consultancy. The team includes the Chief Brand Officer, Director of Web Development & Digital Experience, Senior Graphic Designer, and Print and Project Coordinator each contributing to strategic storytelling, visual design, and digital engagement. Highly collaborative and primarily in person with some hybrid flexibility, this team leverages digital tools and frequent touchpoints to produce an incredible amount of high-quality assets that elevate and extend the Mount Vernon identity.
The Role Mount Vernon seeks a Multimedia Specialist and Graphic Designer who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and can manage a high volume of projects—from postcards and brochures to social media graphics, video, and digital campaigns. Reporting to the Chief Brand Officer, this role is an integral part of the Brand Team, which includes a Director of Web Development, a Senior Graphic Designer, and a Print and Project Coordinator, all working together to bring Mount Vernon’s brand to life across every touchpoint.
Responsibilities
Design and produce a wide range of creative assets, including print collateral, digital graphics, social media content, motion graphics, video, and short-form storytelling pieces
Edit and produce video content for use across various digital channels, including social media, web, and print
Steward the Mount Vernon brand across all divisions—Admissions, Philanthropy, Athletics, MV Ventures, MVSO, Faculty, and Student initiatives—ensuring visual consistency and brand integrity
Develop and evolve brand guidelines, campaign identities, and design systems in partnership with the Senior Graphic Designer and Chief Brand Officer
Collaborate with internal partners to conceptualize and deliver creative solutions that meet project goals and timelines
Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing workload in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions, contributing fresh, forward-thinking ideas
Maintain an organized digital asset management system for design files and templates

Requirements
3-5+ years of professional graphic design experience; preference for candidates with experience in education, agency, or in-house creative environments
A strong portfolio demonstrating creative range—print, digital, and video
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects)
Experience with motion graphics and video editing
Knowledge of Canva and Capcut
Strong technical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver exceptional work on tight deadlines
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (preferred)
Previous experience at an Agency (preferred)
