Responsibilities
Define data requirements for forecasting and gather and validate information
Develop forecasting strategy using commodity expertise
Confirm forecasts meet plant needs; adjust methodology as needed
Create inventory plans for promotional periods, new product introductions
Build and maintain demand and inventory management database
Prepare reports and analyze metrics for management
Implement strategies to maintain inventory and achieve cost objectives
Ensure assigned materials are on hand for daily production schedules
Identify and mitigate inventory risks with Procurement buyers, suppliers, and plants
Ensure vendor compliance with service level agreements; resolve shipment issues
Approve and submit carrier claims and returns
Gather insights from planning, procurement, and other areas for accurate forecasting
Collaborate on new material forecasts for product launches
Order pre‑production materials for initial product launch
Train junior analysts on inventory management policies and procedures
Requirements
Plastics and Aluminum industry experience highly preferred
Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain management, or related field required
High School Diploma or GED and equivalent experience required
Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) CIPS Level 3 or higher preferred
4+ years of demand planning experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with inventory/materials management systems such as SAP and FourKites
Comfortable making decisions in fast‑paced environments
Knowledge of automated inventory tracking and management
Effective interpersonal skills and professional communication
Strong executive presence when presenting
