As a Lean Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the operations of our manufacturing facilities. Your primary responsibilities will involve leading various continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and methodologies. You will facilitate kaizen events, provide essential training, and help drive a culture of sustained improvement across the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead and facilitate lean kaizen events across manufacturing locations
Prepare detailed report-outs at the conclusion of each kaizen event
Develop and implement comprehensive lean training programs for staff at all levels
Ensure standard audit processes are in place to maintain 5S and Visual Factory methodologies
Collaborate with other Lean Facilitators to standardize lean practices and share best practices among sites
Spend a significant amount of time on the shop floor assessing processes and driving improvements
Contribute to setting lean goals and strategic direction for the organization
Educate staff on lean practices and their expected impact on performance
Develop problem-solving methodologies to address process inefficiencies
Stay current with the latest lean tools and processes including 5S, Visual Factory, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and others
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lean facilitator in a manufacturing setting
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and facilitation skills; capable of working at all organizational levels
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Positive attitude with a proactive approach to challenges in a dynamic environment
Lean Greenbelt certification or equivalent training/experience is preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude is an asset
Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving objectives within deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
