General Ophthalmologist - Hyattsville, MD
Compensation: $230K - $300K per year DOE
** Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist with residency training in ophthalmology for one of our client’s well-established ophthalmology center in Hyattsville, Maryland. The ideal candidate will join a high-volume practice that has been serving the community for over two decades and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to deliver exceptional patient care.**
About the Job This position is for a client located in Hyattsville, MD, with three practice locations across the area. The role involves providing general ophthalmologic care, performing a wide range of diagnostic and surgical procedures, and managing existing patients from a robust referral base. The incoming Ophthalmologist will work collaboratively with a team of experienced physicians, optometrists, and support staff in a modern facility. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide general ophthalmologic evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Perform cataract, glaucoma, and anterior segment surgeries as applicable.
Manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions and postoperative care.
Collaborate with referring physicians and participate in marketing and networking activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Utilize the latest diagnostic and surgical technologies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Supervise and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff for efficient workflow.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of post-residency clinical experience.
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Active or eligible for Maryland state medical license.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
Residency training in Ophthalmology preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
