About the Role We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead our finance operations during a critical growth phase. This role will be instrumental in scaling our accounting processes and systems to support our expanding hardware manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate brings a unique combination of accounting expertise and hands-on hardware industry experience, with a proven track record of building and optimizing financial operations from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, and financial reporting
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with analysis of variances and trends
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting data in the organization’s ERP or accounting system.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
Implement and manage cost accounting systems specific to hardware manufacturing operations
Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to track inventory costs, work-in-progress, and cost of goods sold
Process Development & Scaling
Design and implement scalable accounting processes, systems, and controls to support rapid company growth
Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP and accounting software systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
Partner with Strategic Finance to align accounting with budgeting and forecasting.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
Direct experience in hardware manufacturing or R&D environments, with deep understanding of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing cost structures
Proven track record of scaling accounting operations and implementing new financial systems and processes
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance requirements
Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace or automotive industry experience highly valued
Experience with contract manufacturing, supply chain finance, or complex bill of materials
Background in venture-backed or high‑growth startups
Knowledge of government contracting or defense industry accounting requirements
Familiarity with project accounting and job costing
Experience managing audits and implementing SOX controls
