Overview
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse ARNP or Physician Assistant PA. The section of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Virginia Mason Medical Center is seeking a PA-C or ARNP to join their coordinated team approach to rehabilitation. The section provides musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation services with a multidisciplinary team. This position is 100% outpatient and will focus on musculoskeletal and general rehab. The provider would work at the main practice in downtown Seattle and at the Lynnwood clinic. In-house PT, OT, speech therapy, nursing and rehabilitation, and pain psychology are part of the interdisciplinary care model. Teaching and research opportunities are available. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient PM&R services as a PA-C or ARNP within a multidisciplinary team. Deliver conservative and interventional care for musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation in collaboration with specialists from multiple disciplines. Participate in spine and musculoskeletal care pathways (including collaboration with the Seattle Spine Clinic approach). Support program development and contribute to teaching and research as appropriate; demonstrate strong leadership and adaptability. Qualifications
For Nurse Practitioner track: Washington State Registered Nurse license and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license; DEA and NPI numbers may be required; prescriptive authority. For Physician Assistant track: Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington. Strong background in anatomy, physiology, histology, and pharmacology; excellent interpersonal and counseling skills; prior PM&R experience preferred. Board certification in the specialty area and relevant work experience may be required depending on the position. Team and Setting
Interdisciplinary team with in-house physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing, and pain psychology. Opportunities exist to work at both Seattle and Lynnwood locations. Pay Range
$61.53 - $77.23 per hour
