Description Saint Alphonsus has a PRN Day Shift Mammography Technologist opportunity at our Boise, Idaho location. A relocation allowance has been authorized for this location if traveling more than 50 miles away. Provides skills and knowledge necessary to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in Idaho and Oregon. Maintains patient and procedure documentation. Maintains equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high quality exams. Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.

Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.

Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).

Three to five years of radiology experience preferred.

Previous mammography experience preferred.

At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS) Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.

Must have active driving privileges. If, during employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.

Performs ordered procedures according to subspecialty protocols and procedures, ensuring that optimum exams are acquired in an efficient and timely manner.

Responds to equipment failures, documenting in accordance with Department Policies and procedures.

Keeps accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory.
