Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a seasoned Web Application Developer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, API development, and modern web technologies to support a Department of the Interior federal program. The Web Application Developer will manage cloud services, build scalable web applications and lead integration efforts across platforms. This role is fully remote, and the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities
Configure and maintain a wide range of AWS services including IAM, RDS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Aurora), S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, CloudFront, SQS, SNS, and CodeArtifact
Provide technical support for cloud networking, load balancing, and perimeter security tools (e.g., Sophos UTM)
Oversee and enhance ColdFusion-based CMS platforms, including custom templates, scheduled tasks, and third-party integrations
Build and maintain APIs using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and GraphQL
Architect and deploy APIs that support enterprise‑scale data operations.
Develop responsive web features using ColdFusion, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON/XML
Utilize modern frameworks such as React, Angular, and Bootstrap
Qualifications
7+ years of experience managing AWS environments
Strong ColdFusion development experience
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML
Extensive experience with API development and integration
Solid understanding of .NET microservices and enterprise data systems.
Expertise in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Aurora
Familiarity with IIS, Apache, SSL, and load balancing
Bachelor’s degree is required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Compensation
Salary: Between $120,000 – $140,000 based on years of relevant experience
