Culinary Services Manager $2500 Sign on Bonus Join to apply for the Culinary Services Manager $2500 Sign on Bonus role at Elegance Senior Living.

Sign on Bonus: $500 at 30 days, $750 at 90 days, $1250 at 180 days.

Job Summary: This position works under the Executive Director and directs all activities of the Culinary Services Department and dining room. Responsible for quality of meals served, quality of service delivery during meal service, control of Culinary Services expenses, and for compliance with special diets offered by the community.

Essential Functions

Plan, direct, control, communicate, and coach in the dining service department.

Manage and direct the Culinary Services Department. Implement menu program that meets nutritional requirements including special diets for residents.

Assess and respond to resident preferences to achieve high level of resident satisfaction.

Manage resources and budget, make purchasing decisions, maintain accurate accounting records, and develop cost-effective procurement system.

Ensure all foods are prepared to resident satisfaction and in accordance with safe food handling practices.

Develop and implement procedures to ensure food is stored, prepared, and served safely, meeting health department standards.

Manage and coach team members to provide high-quality service; circulate through dining room to assess satisfaction.

Recommend staffing decisions to Executive Director or Director of Hospitality; provide performance information for evaluations.

Train new staff on policies, procedures, nutritional and dietary guidelines, sanitation, and workflow.

Maintain a clean kitchen; develop and assign work schedules; order all food and supplies; monitor inventory.

Establish quality standards for presentation and service of food; maintain standards for receiving, storing, and inventorying supplies.

Foster teamwork, act with integrity and ethics, positively impact co‑workers, residents, and visitors.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum one year of experience in food services preparation and two years of managing staff. Three years of experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Requirements

Current ServSafe Certification required.

Local, state, or county food handling/sanitation license or certificate.

Meet all health requirements, including TB.

Pass criminal background check.

First aid & CPR certificate.

Minimum 18 years old; compassion for working with the elderly.

Essential Skills

Verbal, written, and reading fluency in English; complete documentation in fluent English.

Perform well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, follow through, and show initiative.

Work independently, self‑motivated, and make sound, timely decisions.

Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented; pleasant, professional, and personable.
