Introduction

The Office of Financial Regulation in the Maryland Department of Labor is accepting applications for the position of Financial Depository Examiner Supervisor. Responsibilities

Serve as Examiner-In-Charge for examinations of state-chartered banks, trust companies, and credit unions. Conduct pre-examination analysis of assigned institutions. Lead joint examinations directed by the FDIC, Federal Reserve, or OCC, performing examination duties and attending all meetings with management, exit meetings with management, and the Boards of Directors. Qualifications

Nine years of experience examining depository financial institutions or in managerial, professional accounting, or auditing work. Substitution of education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, supplemented by a total of 24 credit hours in business administration, finance, economics, law, or accounting and five years of experience. These credit hours must include a minimum of 6 credit hours in either accounting or auditing. Substitution of certification: Possession of a Certified Public Accountant certificate or a Master’s degree in business administration or accounting from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience. Substitution of military service: U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the financial management or auditing fields on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
