The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to ensure that all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The Lead Installer also serves as a mentor and trainer for installation apprentices and team members. What you'll do

Lead and perform installation of HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and related components. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications to ensure proper installation. Supervise and direct installation crew members; delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow. Ensure compliance with all safety policies, building codes, and installation standards. Communicate effectively with customers to explain work performed, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction. Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues or system performance problems. Verify that all installations are tested, adjusted, and operating properly before job completion. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and job site conditions. Train and mentor apprentices and junior installers to improve technical and professional skills. Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and safe condition. Coordinate with project managers and warehouse staff to ensure timely completion of jobs and proper materials availability. Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certification preferred. Licenses/Certifications:

EPA Section 608 Certification (required) HVAC Journeyman License (preferred)

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Full-time, year-round position Typical workweek: Monday–Friday; occasional evenings or weekends as needed Field-based role; must travel between job sites Competitive hourly rate or salary $25 to $35 per hour Overtime pay Health 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and certification opportunities
