The Piedmont Group, a boutique financial planning and wealth management firm in Dunwoody, GA, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Paraplanner
to support one of our lead financial advisors. This full-time role begins with an in-office schedule and transitions to a hybrid setup once onboarding is complete. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $85,000, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. About the Role
As a Paraplanner, you will play a key role in supporting the financial advisory process—from meeting preparation to plan development and investment analysis. You’ll work directly with senior advisors to help deliver customized financial strategies that align with client goals. This position offers significant exposure to advanced planning concepts and a clear path for career advancement. Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Planning Support Collaborate with advisors to prepare high-quality client deliverables and streamline internal workflows.
Create detailed meeting agendas, highlighting action items, planning opportunities, and key follow-ups.
Conduct investment analysis, generate performance reports, and suggest rebalancing actions.
Review insurance policies (life, disability), prepare illustrations, and ensure coverage aligns with client objectives.
Develop and update comprehensive financial plans in eMoney, including retirement projections, tax strategies, and education planning.
Monitor savings strategies and provide actionable, data-driven insights.
Build investment proposals and insurance models to support alternative planning scenarios.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
At least 3 years of experience in financial planning or paraplanning.
Solid understanding of investments, insurance, tax planning, and estate strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools.
Preferred: Experience with
eMoney
and
Morningstar Workstation .
Familiarity with
Wealthbox
or similar CRM systems.
