The role involves overseeing financial, administrative, accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, vendor management, and operational tasks. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, intelligent, emotionally aware, highly organized, analytical, and possesses strong business judgment and communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities

Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax preparation, and financial planning, ensuring compliance with GAAP Manage administrative tasks and ensure adherence to office policies and procedures Supervise the finance department, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, invoicing, and credit/collections Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and support budgeting activities Respond to inquiries from executive management and other departments regarding financial results and reporting Develop and implement procedures to improve departmental workflow Manage tax filings and coordinate audits Handle vendor negotiations, purchasing, and identify cost-saving opportunities Support business growth through vendor and contractor relations, and contribute to sales and marketing efforts Manage grant compliance, insurance, IP relationships, and other business needs Assist in onboarding, training, and personnel issues Handle other projects and duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, or office management Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred Expertise in GAAP, SOX, audit, and tax preparation Knowledge of employment laws and startup environment experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing demands Preferred Qualifications

CPA certification Experience with Big Four accounting firms Personal Qualities
