The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is the primary resource to create alignment between Human Resource and Talent strategy and business strategy. The HRBP is aligned to business units and leaders to provide HR expertise to achieve current and future business objectives. The HRBP effectively manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, resolution and investigations, performance management, talent/succession planning, and initiatives that drive and support desired short and long‑term business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Provide HR partnership, for both strategic and tactical initiatives, day to day HR support and execution of strategies for assigned business groups
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with leaders and employees to provide guidance and counsel on a variety of HR and business‑related issues
Manages and resolves employee relations issues (coaching, mentoring, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Administer HR policies, procedures and strategies that balance the needs of the location’s business objectives with employee needs).
Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintains in‑depth knowledge of compliance requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Participates in assigned business groups operational meetings, business reviews, and team building.
Act as an advisor on HR issues to management of assigned business groups.
Partners with HRBPs and broader HR team to ensure consistent application of practices and procedures where appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
2‑5 years of broad‑based HR experience with progressive HRBP experience
Additional Qualifications
Results oriented.
Construction experience preferred
Ability to write and provide time‑based reports and business correspondence
Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
Up to 60% travel.
Ability to prioritize and re‑prioritize quickly and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Hussmann or refrigeration product experience a plus.
Develop and maintain an organized and repeatable sales and ordering process.
