We are seeking a visionary Sanitation Manager to serve as our subject matter expert and drive a culture of excellence in food manufacturing hygiene. Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year. Shift: First. Work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM. Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
Ensure bakery and production equipment adhere to regulatory compliance and company policies, including chemical, pest control, building/grounds upkeep, and raw material inspection. Maintain master sanitation schedules and processes, utilizing Klenz software. Write, edit, and update SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures). Serve as the SME for Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards (e.g., BRC, SQF). Ensure the bakery is audit‑ready at all times. Lead, inspire, and energize the team toward a high standard of performance and self‑accountability. Hire, train, coach, and develop a high‑performing team. Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements. Create metrics to measure employee and team performance. Ensure accident/loss prevention and security policies are followed. Develop and implement a world‑class bakery sanitation program incorporating corporate, third‑party, and customer guidelines. Develop and implement 5S approach within the department. Research and implement lean methods of cleaning to benefit sanitation efforts. Develop and oversee partnerships with vendors and contractors. Manage coordination of department activities with responsibility for lean results, including costs, methods, and staffing. Develop and monitor the sanitation department’s budget and expenditures. Work in a smoke‑free environment. Wear steel‑toe shoes. Work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment. Manually lift up to 50 lbs. Stand for up to 7 hours at a time. Work weekends. Skills
