About the Role We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented and technically skilled Senior Data Analyst to join the Commercial IT organization at Boston Scientific. This role focuses on remediating data sources and integrations in response to changes in upstream systems of record and evolving data content. The analyst will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and operational readiness. You will analyze, trace, and document data end‑to‑end—from ERP/CRM systems to business‑managed files, through our enterprise data platforms and semantic layers to user workflows. Expect daily hands‑on SQL work and reviews of source‑to‑target mappings and data lineage. You will produce clear documentation by partnering closely with engineering and business teams.

Work Mode Hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Arden Hills, MN office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Serve as a data remediation analyst for the Magellan initiative, with a strong focus on data quality and integrity.

Analyze existing and new data sources, data specifications, and data integration points using visual tools (e.g., data‑flow diagrams, process models).

Interpret and assess the impact of modifications in upstream systems of record on downstream integrations and data users.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, interface definitions, and data‑lineage records.

Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather information and communicate findings clearly and effectively.

Present key findings, risks, and remediation options to both technical and business audiences.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical IT role, with a strong emphasis on data integration and system remediation.

Deep understanding of commercial data, including seller, customer, order, and invoice records.

Experience analyzing data interfaces, ETL/ELT specifications, data dictionaries, and source‑to‑target mapping.

Self‑starter with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across cross‑functional teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.

Highly detail‑oriented, with a passion for rapidly delivering accurate work products.

Data and data‑flow analysis.

Application of information architecture and data‑integration principles.

Advanced SQL for data profiling and querying.

Proficiency in creating and interpreting data flow diagrams, XML documents, sequence/activity diagrams, data models, schemas, ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and metadata documentation.

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

CDMP– Data Integration & Interoperability (DII) certification.

Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with medical device manufacturing processes and terminology.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

$82,600

Maximum Salary:

$156,900

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com – will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
