The DUV Reticle Handling Mechatronics Group, a division of ASML's Mechatronics and Measurement Department, in Wilton, CT, is seeking a motivated and skilled intern to work on mechatronics, robotics, product and system integration and/or software functionality, all specific to ASML products. The main focus will be mechatronics and robotics on advanced modules in lithography tools.

Roles and responsibilities The job requires a passionate technical individual contributor to: Technically own and drive assigned tasks and projects,

Collaborate with engineers and technical leaders to learn and consult,

Autonomously gather necessary information to conceive and propose options in order to meet the projects requirements,

Write technical documentation describing the solution of a technical problem,

Work in the lab to proof the concepts and test solutions,

Gain knowledge and understanding of the system's module and understand interfaces of a technical problem,

Clearly communicate technical performance in both written and verbal presentations to stakeholders .

Education and experience At minimum, candidate for Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering discipline (such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics), with at least 2 years completed. Preferred candidates currently in a Master's program.

Skills Good understanding and genuine interest in robotics, dynamics, software, electronics, mechanics, automation, controls or similar technical disciplines.

Candidate must have strong communicative skills with a commitment to achieving results on time.

Candidate shall be a demonstrated "team player" with a quality orientation and interpersonal skills.

Well organized and good time management skills to be able to handle complex or multiple assignments.

Ability to quickly acquire technical knowledge from documentation and on-the-job training. Capability to thoroughly investigate technical issues (analytically and hands-on in a lab environment)

Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards. The environment in the cleanroom is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.

Safely working around lasers; on ladders; on platforms; around chemicals; near strong magnetic fields; around high voltage and currents.

The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus.

There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the

United States

Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
