*Position Summary:*
*The Desktop Support Technician provides technical assistance to end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role ensures smooth IT operations and supports users in resolving technical problems efficiently and professionally.*
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Respond to technical support requests via phone, email, or in person. * Diagnose and resolve issues with computers, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals. * Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems. * Assist users with operating systems, applications, and connectivity problems. * Document support activities and resolutions in a ticketing system. * Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues. * Educate users on IT procedures, tools, and best practices. * Track and manage IT equipment inventory and ensure compliance with security standards. *Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in IT or related field preferred. * 1-3 years of experience in desktop support or helpdesk roles. * Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments, Microsoft Office, and standard IT hardware. * Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. * Customer-focused with attention to detail. * IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft) are a plus. *Physical Requirements:*
* Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs. * May require walking, bending, or kneeling to access hardware. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
