Position Description
The position involves performing specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of the assigned area. As a key partner to the college, the role requires the individual to learn and implement the basics of funding sources to better maximize limited resources. The responsibilities include executing basic report duties with few revisions, handling basic ad hoc data requests efficiently. In addition to these tasks, the individual will also be involved in the daily operations of the assigned area, requiring them to work with limited support. This includes collecting, analyzing, and developing data relative to the area, making recommendations, and assisting in the implementation of projects, similar to the duties performed in the previous roles. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills in data analysis and project implementation, while also gaining a deep understanding of the funding sources and operational processes within the college. We also provide internal and external decision makers with data and analysis through various forms of reporting needed to determine the best course of action to propel the university into the next 100 years.
Major/Essential Functions
Develop professional skills in data analysis and project implementation, while also gaining a deep understanding of the funding sources and operational processes of the University. Collecting, analyzing, and interpret financial data to support the University. Making recommendations and assisting in the implementation of projects and process improvements. Provide assistance and training to departments and perform duties required to complete the annual budget prep cycle.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field
Preferred Qualifications
Three (3) years experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Experience in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills.
