RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Verify and pack all outbound LTL and truck load shipments for correct quantities and items

Ensure the optimum loading of all outbound trailers for accuracy, integrity, load sequence, and maximized "cube" shipments

Verify for proper loading to ensure safe transit of material to customers

Verify on hand inventory by performing daily cycle counts

Help control flow of people, equipment, and product on dock as it pertains to completion of orders, receipt of incoming, and transfers within inter-plant

Must be able to operate digital scales

Occasional driving of powered industrial equipment

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

: High School Diploma or GED required

MANAGEMENT : None

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 1+ year(s) of related experience

SAP Experience a plus

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Attention to detail including counts, weights, and shipment information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
