Description
Primary Job Function
This bonus eligible position performs all kinds of precision welding, brazing and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment, set-up, organization and performance of all welding jobs.
Note: This position operates on Day Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews instructions, prints and travelers for the job
Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements, fabricates equipment by cutting, burning and welding various metals.
Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment, cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded, sets up, assembles and tacks weld parts, builds up worn or defective surfaces.
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly
Performs periodic preventive maintenance
Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably.
Minimum 2 years TIG welding experience,
including aluminum and stainless
Proficient at blueprint reading
Understanding of weld symbols and preparation of material
Knowledge of fixture development and use; ability to store and track fixtures
Requires expert knowledge regarding physical properties and welding characteristics of metal, effects of heat, welding shrinkage, welding techniques and allowances for thickness.
Ability to produce sound, functional welds that are free of defects
Must be able to utilize all required PPE.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Dependability; honesty & integrity; a positive, proactive attitude; ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision.

Our pay ranges are guided by the discipline, level, and experience required. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on various factors, including desired skills/ technical competency, relevant experience, transferrable skills, and advanced education/ training.
