About the Role As a Lead Event Marketing Strategist, you'll play a pivotal role in amplifying our events channel—an essential driver of our thought leadership and engagement with potential clients. You will create and execute a world-class event strategy encompassing industry conferences, webinars, and exclusive community initiatives. Your goal will be to ensure that Plenful stands out with credibility and professionalism at events ranging from major conferences like Becker's and 340B Coalition to intimate customer forums and virtual discussions. This position reports to the Head of Marketing. You will take ownership from start to finish, managing a substantial events budget, driving measurable outcomes, and laying the groundwork for community programming, advisory boards, and customer-focused events that will propel Plenful's growth trajectory. What You'll Do Oversee the complete planning and execution of Plenful's event program, including third-party live conferences, webinars, and owned community forums. Manage a $1M+ event marketing budget with accountability for MQL and SQO metrics. Take charge of event partner vetting, sponsorship negotiations, and contracts. Collaborate with Marketing leadership to craft event narratives, secure speaking opportunities, engage customer champions, and develop thought leadership content. Expand our outreach beyond third-party events into own initiatives, including customer advisory boards and community activities. Implement pre- and post-event lead nurture workflows in collaboration with the BDR and Sales Operations teams to maximize pipeline impact. Ensure fulfillment of additional sponsorship deliverables, partnering across marketing for execution. Assist in planning and executing internal events, such as our annual company offsite. What We're Looking For 3+ years in B2B event or field marketing roles, coupled with 5-10 years of overall marketing or sales experience. Experience in B2B healthcare is highly preferred. Familiarity with the healthcare conference landscape, including popular events like Becker's, ASHP, and HLTH, along with a comfort in navigating both expansive events and intimate gatherings. Detail-oriented and organized, thriving in fast-paced environments while remaining calm under pressure. Experience marketing in regulated industries with creative examples that effectively cut through the noise. A collaborative team player who is driven to support team success and enhance Plenful's presence at all events. Willingness to travel frequently and represent Plenful with enthusiasm and professionalism. Proficient in leveraging AI tools and modern event technologies for planning, execution, and measurement. Capable of producing event-specific graphics using design templates in Canva. Strong project management and communication skills to guide events seamlessly from concept through production with minimal oversight.
