Our client is looking for a
Workday Financials Manager
to own and optimize their Workday Finance platform. This role sits at the intersection of technology, finance, and strategy - responsible for shaping the product roadmap, driving enhancements, and ensuring Workday continues to evolve with business needs.
You’ll work closely with Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on: able to manage complex projects while understanding the functional depth of Workday Financials.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner for Workday Financials, overseeing design, configuration, testing, and release management.
Partner with Finance and Accounting leaders to identify and prioritize system improvements.
Manage the Workday Financials roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategy.
Collaborate with IT and Workday support teams to deliver system enhancements and resolve production issues.
Lead or support Workday module rollouts, integrations, and upgrades.
Maintain strong vendor relationships with Workday and third‑party providers.
Ensure compliance, data integrity, and effective change management across Finance processes.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years’ experience with Workday Financials, including deep knowledge of at least two modules (e.g. Core Financials, Customers, Suppliers, Projects, Accounting Center, Expenses, Procurement).
Proven experience as an Admin, Platform Owner, or Business Systems Analyst for Workday or similar ERP platforms.
Strong understanding of financial processes and reporting.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Workday certification(s) preferred.
