Position Overview
The Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks to hire an epileptologist who is board-eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy.
The role involves acute, chronic, and tertiary care of epilepsy patients, EEG interpretation, electrocorticography, evaluation for epilepsy surgery, including stereo‑EEG, intra‑ and extra‑operative functional brain mapping, neuro‑stimulation (VNS / RNS / DBS), implantable device management, and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit care.
Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. equivalent degree.
The position is open‑rank/track faculty with academic rank commensurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in clinical neurology and epileptology.
Clinical responsibilities include outpatient epilepsy clinics, EEG/ICU reading, EMU service, and related electrophysiology duties.
Requirements
Board‑eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy
Expertise in acute, chronic, and tertiary care of epilepsy patients
Proficiency in EEG interpretation, electrocorticography, and evaluation for epilepsy surgery
Experience with stereo‑EEG, intra‑ and extra‑operative functional brain mapping, neuro‑stimulation (VNS / RNS / DBS), implantable device management, and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit care
M.D. or D.O. equivalent degree
