Responsibilities The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. Act as a Business Intelligence (BI) technology subject matter expert supporting requirements gathering for both small and major change initiatives. Provide ongoing Business As Usual (BAU) support diagnosing and resolving user-reported issues and inquiries promptly correctly and professionally across EMEA Americas and Asia & Tokyo. Perform problem-solving to resolve BAU issues; foster a dynamic delivery-driven culture responsive to business demands. Develop testing implementing financial software database changes GUIs reports and dashboards particularly for P&L calculation in the broker‑dealer domain; code in SQL MDX (including complex SSAS queries) PowerShell Control‑M and C#; develop dashboards using Power BI; provide technical leadership for a team of support technologists (including contractors and offshore staff) responsible for BAU support and change development. Manage the support enhancement maintenance and stability of data warehousing and Business Intelligence platforms supporting daily reporting across supported entities; ensure platform architecture safeguards 24/6 business continuity; validate target architecture proposals; participate in annual Disaster Recovery and Fire‑drill scenarios. Ensure systems meet agreed SLAs and KPIs; record and track reporting SLAs; ensure compliance with Technology Security Data Confidentiality and other relevant policies. Support delivery of business-sponsored project programs and change initiatives; prioritize user enhancement requests; manage and understand project scope; liaise effectively with project team members at all levels; actively participate in project working groups; approve and supervise the transition of changes into production. Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, business users, project teams, other technology teams, and senior management. Partner with relevant teams to resolve issues; partner on reporting services; participate in MUFG group-wide activities to promote BI platform use, understand industry best practices, influence change, and promote technical credibility. Maintain and enhance the BAU Confluence knowledge base pages; serve as technical lead for the Application Support Team.
Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related (or foreign equivalent) degree.
Experience 3 years of experience in the broker‑dealer domain within the financial services industry supporting multi‑terabyte systems for credit risk, market risk and P&L finance reporting; developing financial software risk models and P&L models utilizing T‑SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) including writing MDX queries; coding in C#, PowerShell and using Control‑M; performing P&L and risk measure calculations and reporting; developing dashboards using Power BI; performing SQL performance tuning (optimizing query execution plans, indexing strategies and database design) using tools: SQL Server Profiler & Database Engine Tuning Advisor (DTA); with financial products (repos, SBL, bonds, treasuries, equities, secondary loan trading and derivatives); and 2 years of experience as technical lead.
Additional Requirements Required to work nights & weekends as necessary for production releases, disaster recovery testing and month‑end closures. Position requires employment in‑office 4 days per week and remotely 1 day per week.
Compensation Salary: $109,491 to $148,000 U.S. dollars per year.
