Europa Village Highlights Europa Village Wineries and Resort is a destination location in Temecula Valley Wine Country. Position Overview The Assistant Banquet Manager for Europa Village will provide hands‑on leadership, and support for the day‑to‑day Banquet Department. By aligning with our core values, strategic goals and objectives, this individual will work closely with the department manager, culinary team, and multiple managers, supervisors, and employees across the property. This is a highly dynamic role that will manage and support a large staff of up to 40 team members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for service with a motivating and energetic personality. Strong leadership skills are essential and prior banquet supervision experience is required.

This is an exempt position with a Company that operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year with the majority of events taking place on weekends. A successful candidate must be available and willing to work and respond to calls as needed outside of "regular" business hours.

Required Experience and Qualifications

1 to 3 years of prior experience managing or supervising a banquet department with 20+ employees.

Prior experience updating and implementing standard operating procedures.

A strong knowledge of training industry standards and service techniques.

Bilingual Spanish/English is a strong plus.

Responsibilities Specific to Assistant Banquet Manager

Possess and live the Europa Village core values.

Facilitate a vibrant diverse culture based on Company values and standards.

Ensure training programs are implemented and measured regularly.

Support all safety policies and procedures.

Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specifications.

Reviews Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) on a daily basis, updates and communicates any changes.

Ensures all functions are set and team is prepared and organized before the required time on the BEO.

Inspects table place settings, including table linen, china, glass, silverware and condiments for correct placement and ensures each element is clean, undamaged and attractive.

Monitor banquet team members to ensure all operating procedures are followed.

Supervise clearing and post event clean‑up.

Supervise the handling, storage, maintenance, and security of all catering service equipment.

Remain alert of complaints and/or unsatisfied guests and responds appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction.

Meticulously plan events with banquet captains and other staff to ensure execution is achieved at the highest level.

Review scheduling and labor needs to meet guests' needs while maximizing efficiency.

Prepares summaries and reports for each event.

Other duties as directed.

This is a physically demanding job and a successful candidate must be able to push and pull, stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, climb stairs, work indoors and outdoors, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Certifications are required.

Must have full schedule flexibility and available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
