Job Description
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations across the property, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and assets while maintaining a discreet and guest‑forward approach aligned with Faena’s brand. This role develops and implements security procedures, supervises the security team, and coordinates emergency response and risk mitigation strategies.
This position has an annual compensation of $85,000 per year.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage daily security operations including shift scheduling, patrols, access control, and incident reporting
Lead training and oversight for all security personnel, including emergency response, customer service, and de‑escalation protocols
Liaise with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services as needed
Develop and implement safety policies, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols
Maintain and monitor security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) and report maintenance needs
Coordinate coverage for VIP guests, high‑profile events, and public access areas
Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, producing detailed reports
Work collaboratively with departments including Rooms, Events, and Engineering to ensure integrated property safety
Maintain compliance with all relevant city, state, and OSHA security regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of progressive experience in security or safety management, preferably in luxury hospitality, nightlife, or event environments
Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a unionized setting preferred
NYS Security Guard License required; Fire Safety Director Certification strongly preferred
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required
Knowledge of surveillance systems, hotel property layouts, and threat assessment protocols

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces
Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift
Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
