Base pay range: $75.00 / hr - $85.00 / hr. W2 or C2C available.
Hybrid role :
2 weeks a month onsite at Durham, NC; Westlake, TX; Jersey City, NJ; Boston, MA. Must be local to one of these locations.
Our client is a leading financial services firm seeking a CockroachDB Database Administrator focusing on cloud operations.

Rates: $75-85 / hr for hourly, $85-95 / hr for C2C. Salary or hourly as per preference.
Role requires 2 weeks per month onsite; must be able to commute to one of the below locations:
Westlake, Texas
Jersey City, New Jersey
Merrimack, New Hampshire
Smithfield, Rhode Island
We are working with MariaDB, MongoDB, and CockroachDB in a "incubator" division focused on cloud transformation and blockchain projects.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure and monitor very large-scale database systems including relational, NoSQL, and in-memory databases.
Oversee migration projects from MariaDB to CockroachDB, including supporting five microservices, with one remaining for migration.
Provide production support and participate in DBA projects.
The Skills That Are Key to This Role:
Strong CockroachDB expertise.
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Proficient scripting in Python (preferred) or shell scripting.
Experience with automation tools (bash, python, Ansible).
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as UDeploy, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git.
Background in NoSQL, Site Reliability Engineering, and DevOps.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered for pay determination.
