What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Perform prospective, retrospective, and concurrent coding reviews based on various healthcare documentation
Support pre-visit planning by identifying individuals’ potential chronic conditions and care gaps
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation to support appropriate code captureCollaborate with team leadership to analyze chronic condition prevalence trends and execute interventions
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members to maintain documentation standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in good standing
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare‑related field with relevant credentials or licenses
Minimum of 5 years of risk adjustment‑focused medical record review and ICD‑10 coding experience
Proficiency in productivity tools such as spreadsheets, Google Suite, and EHR systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for maintaining professional relationships
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Familiarity with Medicaid risk models, such as CDPS or ACG
Proven experience working in a remote setting
Knowledge of Medicare HCC model and clinical coding guidelines
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams
Experience in developing CDI policies and procedures
