Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will perform high-precision welds on a variety of metals, working from technical drawings and using advanced tools and machinery. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance with quality standards
Operate shop tools including grinders, cutters, and drills
Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control teams
Perform rework, repair, and custom fabrication as needed
Document materials used and progress on assigned tasks
Requirements
2+ years of TIG welding experience in a machine shop or industrial environment
Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding welding symbols
Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Familiarity with common fabrication tools and shop equipment
Knowledge of welding safety practices and OSHA standards
Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
AWS certification (or equivalent) in TIG/MIG welding
Experience with CNC welding equipment or automated systems
Background in pipe fitting or exotic metal fabrication
Prior experience with GMAW and GTAW processes
