Program Overview Your daily pursuit is crafting amazing Montana-inspired dishes for our guests and leading our team of culinary professionals. The role demands culinary creativity, leadership, and commitment to high standards.
Responsibilities
Work closely with and supervise B‑O‑H staff in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to supervise prep staff, cooks, and all other kitchen team members, providing coaching and mentoring.
Observe food preparation methods to ensure food safety, portion sizes, garnishing, visual plating, and quality consistency.
Ensure ongoing quality assurance by working with culinary staff and menu sampling as appropriate.
Create a positive kitchen environment, mentoring chefs, cooks, and apprenticeship programs.
Collaborate on specials highlighting local ingredients and Montana‑inspired cuisine.
Lead restaurant & banquet food production including prep, line cooking, and expediting.
Assist the Executive Chef with administrative tasks such as ordering, inventory, and scheduling.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen stations, meeting state and federal food safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Two (2) years of leadership experience in high‑volume, fast‑paced, full‑service restaurants.
Experience in banquet and wedding catering preferred.
Experience working in a seasonal environment with diverse teams.
Current Serv‑Safe certification or food handler sanitation certificate.
Strong “can‑do” attitude, flexibility, and adaptability.
Decision‑making, problem‑solving, judgment, and communication skills.
Commitment to building positive relationships and inclusive culture.
Resourceful, organized, multi‑tasking in fast‑paced environment.
Sense of urgency, humor, and ability to handle unplanned changes.
Hospitality and service‑focused mindset.
Compensation & Benefits $25.50 per hour.
