LF Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Junior Project Accountant in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
Overview Reporting to the Director of Project Accounting, the Junior Project Accountant is primarily responsible for overseeing the financial activity on select construction projects. The Junior Project Accountant works with the project management team to establish expectations and due dates for monthly requisitions, subcontractor progress payments, status reports, project review meetings and any other project requirements.
Responsibilities
Project Start Up – establish budget for Job Costing and Job Billing requirements.
Attend project kick‑off meetings when applicable.
Provide end‑to‑end project support for all contract types.
Participate in projects reviews with project team.
Support project teams to develop Cost to Completion Forecasts and Billing Projections.
Monitor change orders and other potential change items related to budgets and project costs.
Participate in cost controls analysis, under the supervision of the Cost Control Manager.
Review and enter subcontractor billings and invoices as needed.
Assist Project Management with Change Management System, including potential change items, change order requests and Owner Change Orders.
Prepare monthly client requisitions.
Attend “Pencil Pay” requisition meetings, revise requisition as required.
Track allowances and contingency reserves.
Ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.
Participate in any client audits or subcontractor audits.
Assist with close‑out procedures.
Assist with special projects and requests.
Assist with Project Management in establishing subcontractor wage rates.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
3+ years of experience in project accounting for a commercial general contractor.
Proficiency in Excel required.
Experience with CMiC, Bluebeam, Textura, E‑builder preferred.
