Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Associate Attorney
with
1–4 years of relevant legal experience
to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of matters in construction, business, and real estate law, with support and mentorship from experienced attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex legal research and analysis.
Assist in the negotiation of agreements and resolution of disputes.
Support clients with regulatory compliance, risk management, and strategic planning.
Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery responses.
Conduct depositions, interviews, and other fact-finding activities.
Manage litigation matters and supervise cases from inception through resolution.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.
Support clients with regulatory compliance, risk management, and strategic planning.
Represent clients in court appearances, including motions, hearings, and trials.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize on case handling and provide legal advice.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
2–4 years of relevant legal experience
Strong experience in conducting depositions and performing complex legal research.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Admission to the Michigan State Bar (or eligibility to be admitted).
Preferred Skills
Experience in construction law, business law, or real estate law.
Exposure to litigation, including pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
Trial or courtroom experience is a plus.
